Description: From Bad Custom To Brand New | G-Unit Sneaker Restoration G-G-G-G-UNIT!!! On this week’s episode of “Customs and Restorations with Vick”, Vick gets his hands on a poorly customized pair of Reebok G-Unit G6 3’s! Say that five times fast! Vick wanted to bring these sneakers back to their original 2006 look, with a few Almighty touches of course, so he started off by using some cotton balls and acetone to remove the custom paint job on the uppers. The paint came off much easier than expected, but not completely, as it was still visible in the stitching and porous leather. Since acetone would not help on these materials, Vick taped up the shoes and sprayed the uppers with a coat of white paint. After the uppers were back to their “crispy” original look, Vick threw his own slight customization into the mix, modifying the flag near the toe box to mirror the first edition G-Unit sneaker that had red, white, and blue lines. Vick’s steady hand nailed it! The last step of this custom/restoration was to try and bring back the icy soles! While the shoe had never been worn, the translucent soles had yellowed from aging. Vick lathered up the bottom of these kicks with a nice thick coat of RESHOEVN8R Sole Revive and then dropped them into his new indoor setup - “The Vick 2000”!
